An exciting, up-and-coming artist collective, Amani Platnet are bringing the hottest, new talent from the African diaspora to the heart of Manchester in this monthly, family-friendly event.

Come and experience the polyphonic singing and Intore dance of the Central Africa Pygmies’, irresistible Rumba, Mutwashi, Agwaya and Soukous beats, provocative Easter African Taarab, elaborate Afro- Jazz and Bikutchi, beautiful ‘World’ and Nomadic Tuareg melodies.

Bringing together local artists from DR Congo, Rwanda, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Burundi, Tanzania, Mali, South-Africa, England and beyond, this monthly event has been wowing local audiences with its’ diverse appeal.

The Amani Live nights are on the first Thursday of every month. Don’t miss our forthcoming event on Thursday 3rd September with special guest the exciting singer and kora player who combines the authentic rhythms and songs of West Africa with her own compositions.

Future dates include a special Black History Month in October. More information to follow.
